The Gourmet Gannet is a traditional bakery on State Highway 16 in Huapai, Auckland.

Allison and her team hand-make artisan breads, cakes, slices and pastries working through the wee hours of the morning to bring you mouthwatering crusty sourdoughs, ciabattas, baguettes, multigrains as well as more unusual breads along with her 'famous North West' filled doughnuts, French & English pastries and other baked treats.

Born and raised in the UK, Allison Pirrie-Mawer began her catering career with an apprenticeship while studying for her catering diplomas in French cuisine at Southport Technical College. After many years working within the trade in Liverpool, London and Germany she finally arrived in New Zealand in 2000. Allison took over the existing bakery, formerly known as 'The Fluety's' in 2014.
